2012 Annual Meeting

East Penn's annual meeting will be after practice on Saturday, 14 Apr.  Agenda:

  • Finances
  • 2011-2012 season in review
  • 2012-2013 season in preparation
  • Elections for all offices
  • Summer activities (camps/trips)
  • Open discussion

Congratulations

East Penn skaters have been busy! Casey, Connor, Dustin, Greg, Harrison, Justin, Kartik, Rachel, Surabhi, Tim, and Tory all raced at the Middle Atlantic Short Track Championships [pdf] and posted some great times [pdf].  Rachel won 4 of 6 races to win the Novice Division overall.  Harrison took 3rd overall in the Open A Men's Division.  Dustin & Greg placed 1st and 3rd respectively in the Open B group, and Tori placed 1st in the Open Ladies group.

Daniel Brown had some great races at his first Short Track Age Group National Championships [pdf], making the 1000m semifinal.  Go Daniel!

Other friends are also doing well -- Keith Carroll at the American Cup [pdf] and Jacki Munzel at the Masters International Allround Games.

Great work, everybody!

We'll be ordering East Penn-branded jackets and pants. The jacket will have the club logo, club name, and your name (see the design here). There are two options for pants: sweatpants (unisex) or warmups (guys / girls). The total cost is expected to be somewhere a bit over $100, but will depend on exactly how many orders we get. Send your order to Dustin by Wednesday morning, 21 Dec. (Yes, it's short notice, but we'd like them to arrive in time for the January Thaw meet in Connecticut on 8 Jan. And really, how much time do you need to decide these are awesome?)
